St. Mary’s Primary School, Warracknabeal, is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children and young people in its care.

Learning and Teaching

We believe that all learning and teaching that takes place at St. Mary’s Primary School, must be soundly based on Gospel Values.

With regard to the way children learn, we believe that all children can learn and that the most effective learning takes place in a safe, positive and stimulating environment.

Classroom Matters

School commences each day at 8.55am. You are encouraged to have your children at school by 8.45am. It is preferred that students do not arrive at school before 8.30am as there is no playground supervision at this time.

Before school, the yard is supervised from 8.30 am.
After school, supervision continues until 3.25 pm.

There are many ways for parents to be involved in the life of the school.

General Information

SCHOOL LUNCHES & LUNCH ORDERS:

As a nude food school please pack your child’s lunch with limited packaging and wrapping. Please also have easy to manage containers that your child can readily open and close.

School Fees

SCHOOL FEES for 2026:

Family Fee is $940 per annum.
Capital fee is $100 per annum.
Technology Levy $100 /student (Yrs 3-6)

Reading and Writing

Reading:

Each night, when reading to or hearing your child read, always give them your close attention and display an interest in the story. Make sure that the TV is turned off, with no other distractions, and that you and your child are comfortable.
