New students excited to start at St Mary's!

On Wednesday 31st January, St Mary’s Primary school was filled with eagerness and anticipation as the students returned for the 2024 academic year.  With 11 new Foundation students embarking on their primary school journey, the morning was a blend of excitement and nervousness (and few tears..from parents!) with lots of photos to mark the milestone moment. The Grade 6 students met with their Foundation buddies to welcome them to school, before all the school gathered to be warmly welcomed and then enter their classrooms for another year of learning, discovery and curiosity.  Parents were then invited to the morning tea kindly provided by the Parent Club, with the opportunity to re-enage and meet new families. St Mary’s also welcomed two new students to Grade 2 and 3, Shreesh and Sam, and returning staff members Claire Schulz and Victoria McPhee. All the students had a terrific day, settling back into school, happy to be with their friends, learning new routines and excited just to be together again.
